Basketball Recap: Hertford County Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Washington, Hertford County was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-41 win over the Cape Hatteras Hurricanes.

Hertford County can attribute much of their success to Josiah Powell, who posted 14 points. Chase Everette was another key player, putting up eight points.

Hertford County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cape Hatteras, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hertford County will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Gates County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cape Hatteras, they will challenge Croatan at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
