Preview: Amundsen Vikings vs. Latin Romans
The Amundsen Vikings are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Latin Romans at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. Amundsen has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Last Tuesday, it was close, but Amundsen sidestepped Payton College Prep for a 48-45 win.
Amundsen had a senior duo take command as Hannah Lopez scored 16 points along with six rebounds and Taylor Barnes scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Lopez's third in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Latin's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Payton College Prep.
Amundsen is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Latin, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5.
