Softball Game Preview: Conrad Weiser Scouts vs. Wyomissing Spartans

The Conrad Weiser Scouts will take on the Wyomissing Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Conrad Weiser has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Conrad Weiser lost 15-8 to Twin Valley on Thursday.

Alex Trevena made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Trevena is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Skylir Berger, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Wyomissing came up short against Schuylkill Valley on Wednesday and fell 8-4. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Conrad Weiser's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for Wyomissing, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Conrad Weiser beat Wyomissing 8-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2019. Will the Scouts repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
