Preview: Shelley Russets vs. Skyview Hawks
The Shelley Russets will head out on the road to face off against the Skyview Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Shelley is ranked 22nd, while Skyview is ranked 26th).
Last Friday, Shelley ended up a good deal behind Skyline and lost 30-13. Shelley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Skyview's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Bishop Kelly 36-7. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, Skyview couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the defeat, Skyview had strong showings from Mason Krahn, who picked up 107 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Cache Beus, who threw for 176 yards and a touchdown.
Shelley has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Skyview, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
