Basketball Recap: Nederland Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Nederland lost against Beaumont United back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Nederland Bulldogs took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beaumont United Timberwolves.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beaumont United to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashton Green, who went 7 for 17 en route to 19 points. Green's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ephriam Moore, who posted seven points and 12 rebounds.

Nederland's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-8. As for Beaumont United, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.

Nederland has already played their next matchup (against Port Neches-Groves), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Beaumont United will be playing at home against West Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Brook knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Beaumont United likes a good challenge.
