Basketball Recap: Minto Comes Up Short

Minto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 75-51 to the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-59 back in January.

Cook Inlet Academy was led to victory by Ian McGarry and Alek McGarry. Ian posted 32 points, while Alek scored 24 points. The game was Ian's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brandt Rollman, who earned nine points.

Minto's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Cook Inlet Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Minto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cook Inlet Academy, they will challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Cook Inlet Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.5 points per game this season.
