The Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish will challenge the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop McNamara will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Bishop McNamara's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against St. Edward as they made off with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Fightin' Irish have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacob Lotz and Colin Downs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lotz struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Downs pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Lotz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Lotz went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Downs went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave Lotz a new career-high.
In other batting news, Max Rohr was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Taylor Fuerst was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Bishop McNamara kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Edward only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Bradley-Bourbonnais was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to Lockport. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Mason Shaul made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.
Bishop McNamara pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10.
