Basketball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 53-41 to the Cortez Colts. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-24 on January 7th.

Cortez was led to victory by Cassius Henderson and Kaden Ramirez. Henderson posted 15 points, while Ramirez dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Henderson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nygel Lindsey, who had six points and six rebounds.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Cortez, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tempe the next time they take the court. Cortez will host Tempe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Coronado will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
