Baseball Recap: Blue Valley Comes Up Short

Blue Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Frankfort Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 on Monday.

Blue Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Frankfort, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Blue Valley will square off against Centralia on Monday. As for Frankfort, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Onaga at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buffaloes have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
