Volleyball Game Preview: Rock Hill Bearcats vs. Blythewood Bengals

The Rock Hill Bearcats will head out to square off against the Blythewood Bengals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Rock Hill is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Catawba Ridge, who was ranked second at the time (Rock Hill was ranked 22nd). The Bearcats lost 3-0 to the Copperheads on Tuesday. The Bearcats have struggled against the Copperheads recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Rock Hill took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Blythewood came up short against Summerville on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16.

Blythewood's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Rock Hill, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Rock Hill took their victory against Blythewood when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
