Lindenhurst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Sachem East. Ricky Nunez was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
