Recap: North Hardin Christian Falcons vs. Cornerstone Christian Academy Bulldogs
The North Hardin Christian Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a tough blow as they fell 48-32 to Cornerstone Christian Academy.
Cornerstone Christian Academy was led to victory by Abby Brothers and Lily Brothers. Brothers dropped a double-double on 19 points and 19 rebounds, while Brothers scored 17 points along with five steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Brothers has scored at least 25% of Cornerstone Christian Academy's points. Josie Burke was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
North Hardin Christian's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.5 points per game. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Hardin Christian has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Fort Campbell at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Fort Campbell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday. Cornerstone Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Community Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
