Recap: Foran Lions vs. Stratford Red Devils
The Foran Lions had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They ended the year with a bang, routing Stratford 64-41. Foran's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Foran to victory were Gracie Brooks and Faith Doyle. Brooks scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six steals, while Doyle went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 2 assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which Doyle has scored at least 25% of Foran's points. Maddie Deldin was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Foran pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Stratford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Foran will head out on the road to face off against Hand at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hand is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Stratford, they will be playing at home against Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
