Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Pleasant). They put the hurt on the Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers with a sharp 19-4 win on Thursday. The Oilers haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Mt. Pleasant pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carman-Ainsworth, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Coming up, Mt. Pleasant will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Alpena at 4:00 p.m. As for Carman-Ainsworth, they will take on Bendle at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
