Basketball Game Preview: Reidsville Rams vs. Southeast Alamance Stallions

Having just played yesterday, the Reidsville Rams will get right back to it and host the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Reidsville is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against West Stokes on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Reidsville came up short against West Stokes, falling 59-36. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.

Meanwhile, Southeast Alamance came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Warriors 74-49. The score was close at the half, but the Stallions pulled away in the second half with 41 points.

Southeast Alamance's win came from a few key players Reidsville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Shaniya Paylor, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. Her afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara LaChapelle, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds.

Southeast Alamance pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.4 points per game. As for Reidsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
