Shelley faced Bear Lake in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Shelley's pitchers stepped up to hand Bear Lake a 19-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Russets as they're now sitting on five straight.

Shelley's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Bear Lake, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelley will head out to challenge Minico at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Minico has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.83 runs per game on average), something Shelley will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bear Lake, they will square off against Snake River at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
