While Hesston put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Smoky Valley. The Swathers blew past the Vikings 10-0. The Swathers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Brenlyn Richmond was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Wendy Roth was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Elyse Griffin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Hesston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Hesston's record now sits at 4-5. As for Smoky Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
