Basketball Recap: Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Comes Up Short

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder lost against Aquinas back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aquinas Monarchs.

Despite the defeat, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grayson Kraus went 9 of 22 on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Kraus has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Robley, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Aquinas had a senior duo take command as Bryant Stouffer dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds and Garett Novacek went 8 of 13 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. Novacek has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kailer Pohl, who had six points.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Aquinas, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Conestoga at 4:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Aquinas, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-48 defeat against Howells-Dodge on the 10th.
