Volleyball Recap: Clay-Chalkville Takes a Loss

Clay-Chalkville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spain Park Jaguars. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in September of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Spain Park found their leader in freshman Camdyn Kyes, who had eight digs and two aces.

Clay-Chalkville's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Spain Park, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-5.

Coming up, Clay-Chalkville will challenge Pell City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spain Park, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against John Carroll Catholic on the 20th.
