Preview: Big Pine Warriors vs. Owens Valley Cubs
Big Pine is 4-0 against Owens Valley since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Big Pine Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Owens Valley Cubs at 5:00 p.m. Big Pine is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Big Pine came up short against Baker and fell 51-44. Big Pine has not had much luck with Baker recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Noah Ericson, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Wil Mairs, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Owens Valley couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Trona on Friday, falling 76-30.
Big Pine bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Owens Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Big Pine beat Owens Valley 54-43 when the teams last played back in December of 2017. Will Big Pine repeat their success, or does Owens Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
