Football Recap: St. Raphael Academy Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Barrington + How To Watch

St. Raphael Academy faced Barrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Saints took a 16-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Onassis Soriano threw for 36 yards on one of eight attempts. Ayden Ocampo was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards. On the ground, Tashaad Brown rushed for 63 yards.

St. Raphael Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. As for Barrington, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

St. Raphael Academy and Barrington will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Saints see the field they'll take on Tolman at 5:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Barrington, their break will end when they face Central at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
