Soccer Game Preview: Stratford vs. Jordan

Stratford is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Westside an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Stratford, who have now won 16 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Jordan beat Foster 2-0 on Friday. Given Jordan's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Foster are ranked 377th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stratford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up five goals over those 17 matchups. Jordan's win bumped their record up to 19-3-1.
