Basketball Recap: Mercer Cardinals vs. Worth County Tigers
Mercer had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 43-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Worth County Tigers on Tuesday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Worth County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kristen Tracy out in front who had five points in addition to 11 rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Keira Hardy, who earned nine points.
Mercer will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Green City at 6:00 p.m. on December 10th. Worth County has already played their next game (against Mercer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
