Football Recap: Lake Hamilton Takes a Loss

Lake Hamilton extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They took a blow against the Shiloh Christian Saints, falling 63-12. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-12.

Despite the loss, Lake Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Jj Johnson, who rushed for 119 yards and one score on only six carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards. Johnson's longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

As for Shiloh Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games.

Cole Creighton was his usual excellent self, throwing for 504 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 170.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Zane Sluyter did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 252 receiving yards.

Lake Hamilton has already played their next matchup, a 61-14 win against Russellville on the 7th. As for Shiloh Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 51-7 victory against Van Buren on the 7th.
