While St. Ignatius College Preparatory's victory against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Fightin' Irish 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory wouldn't go down easily and took Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-19, 25-16, 21-25, 15-5.

Eileen Pfeffer paced St. Ignatius College Preparatory's offense, picking up 22 kills. Pfeffer got some help from Giulia McManigal and her 49 assists. Bryce Killion controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory had strong showings from Cali Tangaan, who had 27 digs, and Madi Mullins, who had 24 digs. Mullins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Zoe Lee was another key player, getting 15 digs.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
