Volleyball Recap: South Cobb Gets the Win

South Cobb won the last time they faced Washington and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: South Cobb took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-13.

Nicolette Sweat was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had nine assists and eight aces. That's the most assists she has posted over her last seven games.

Sweat wasn't the only good server: South Cobb was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. The Eagles are 2-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

South Cobb's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, South Cobb will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Coretta Scott King YWLA at 6:30 p.m. As for Washington, they will face off against Douglass at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Astros at the right time seeing as the Astros are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
