Baseball Game Preview: DuPont Manual Crimsons vs. Lafayette Generals

The DuPont Manual Crimsons will head out to square off against the Lafayette Generals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

DuPont Manual is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Sayre just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2.

DuPont Manual saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Ballard, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Lafayette never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top against Campbell County by a score of 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Generals.

Lafayette pushed their record up to 23-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for DuPont Manual, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-14.

DuPont Manual skirted past Lafayette 7-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2018. Do the Crimsons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Generals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
