Minneapolis Southwest had lost four games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-4 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the St. Paul Central Minutemen 13-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lakers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

As for St. Paul Central, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly 11 runs.

For St. Paul Central's part, Frances McNattin was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, Minneapolis Southwest is taking a road trip to face off against Academy of Holy Angels at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Paul Central, they will take on Richfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
