It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Asheville had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Scotland Fighting Scots with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on 18 straight.
Rosalie Sharp paced Asheville's offense, picking up 19 kills. Sharp got some help from Elyse Burchfield and her 20 assists. Gabby Rollins controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Asheville's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Scotland, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
Coming up, Asheville will head out to take on Kings Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scotland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
