Volleyball Recap: Rittman Falls to Central Christian in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Rittman had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Central Christian Comets. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Rittman couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Central Christian a tough time in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-16, 25-17, 31-29.

Rittman lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mackenzie Beltz, who had 28 assists and nine digs. Madison Beltz was another key player, getting 20 digs and three assists.

Among those leading the charge was Saralyn Stjernholm, who had 17 digs and one assist.

Central Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Rittman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Medina Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Central Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Dalton on the 21st.
