Recap: New Life Christian Academy Warriors vs. Father Capodanno Grunts

The New Life Christian Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 54-7 loss at the hands of Father Capodanno. The result was an unpleasant reminder to New Life Christian Academy of the 62-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Monday.

Luke Moon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Father Capodanno, scoring 18 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braedon Hudson, who scored four points along with seven steals and six rebounds.

New Life Christian Academy dropped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.3 points per game. As for Father Capodanno, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-15 record this season.

New Life Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Winston-Salem Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Father Capodanno, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Star Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Father Capodanno has three straight victories, Star Christian Academy has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
