Softball Recap: Gallatin Green Wave vs. Hendersonville Commandos
The matchup between Gallatin and Hendersonville on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Gallatin lost 19-8 to Hendersonville. The loss continues a trend for the Green Wave in their meetings with the Commandos: they've now lost four in a row.
Jordyn Lilley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Bailey Daughtry was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Even though they lost, Gallatin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Gallatin's record now sits at 3-7. As for Hendersonville, their record is now 7-8.
