New Lothrop is a perfect 5-0 against Lakeville since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hornets will host the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (New Lothrop has three straight victories, Lakeville has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

New Lothrop is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Mt. Morris with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-24. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Panthers are ranked 369th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Lothrop found their leader in freshman Marcellus Childress, who rushed for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries.

Meanwhile, Lakeville was beaten by Durand 50-10 on Friday. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lakeville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for New Lothrop, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for New Lothrop against Lakeville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-7 victory. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
