Baseball Recap: Nelson vs. Lake Oswego Lakers
Nelson was the 9-6 winner over Lake Oswego when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. Nelson fell just short of Lake Oswego by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Nelson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jack Kiesel put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nelson is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise. Kiesel was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Kiesel wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit.
