Monticello is 0-5 against Beacon since September of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Panthers will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Monticello is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Monticello challenged Chapel Field Christian on Friday. The Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Lions a 7-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Monticello.

Their offense was hitting Chapel Field Christian from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Landin Raynor led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Beacon gave up the first goal on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over O'Neill. Beacon haven't had any issues with O'Neill recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Monticello's record now sits at 8-4-2. As for Beacon, their record is now 6-4-2.

Monticello came up short against Beacon in their previous meeting on October 1st, falling 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
