Soccer Recap: Palo Verde Comes Up Short

Palo Verde lost against Catalina back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Palo Verde Titans fell just short of the Catalina Trojans by a score of 3-2.

Abdoulaye Bah and Ibrahim Mahamat scored both of Palo Verde's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Palo Verde's loss dropped their record down to 12-5-3. As for Catalina, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-2 record this season.

Palo Verde has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Safford on the 31st. Catalina will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tanque Verde at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th. Catalina is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.
