Baseball Recap: Durham School of the Arts Takes a Loss

Durham School of the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 last Tuesday.

Durham School of the Arts saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christopher Matuszewski, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Durham School of the Arts now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

After both having extra time off, Durham School of the Arts and Riverside-Durham will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on April 7. Riverside-Durham will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Durham School of the Arts surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, they will venture away from home to face off against J.F. Webb at 5:00 p.m. on April 8.
