Football Recap: Franklin-Simpson Takes a Loss

If Franklin-Simpson was feeling good fresh off their 56-34 takedown of Calloway County two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats were beaten by the Logan County Cougars 63-27 on Friday. The Wildcats lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in September of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 41-31 score last time.

Franklin-Simpson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3. As for Logan County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin-Simpson will take on Allen County-Scottsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Logan County, they will challenge Warren East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
