Timberlane owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They came out on top against the Keene Blackbirds by a score of 4-0. The Owls haven't had any issues with the Blackbirds recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Elizabeth Shanley, who gave up just three hits to keep Keene off the board. Shanley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Timberlane's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Keene, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timberlane will square off against Pinkerton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Keene, they will be playing at home against Dover at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Green Wave have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.4 runs per game on average), something the Blackbirds will no doubt try to take advantage of.
