Basketball Recap: Orange Takes a Loss

Orange lost against Hawken back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Orange Lions lost 73-49 to the Hawken Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while the Hawks are ranked 186th).

When it comes to explaining why Orange lost, don't look at Major Calhoun. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. Alex Mcculloch was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points.

Orange now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Hawken, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange will welcome Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orange is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season. As for Hawken, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Harvey at 7:00 p.m.
