Basketball Game Preview: Battle Mountain Huskies vs. Cedaredge Bruins

The Battle Mountain Huskies will venture away from home to take on the Cedaredge Bruins at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Thursday, Battle Mountain ended up a good deal behind Eagle Valley and lost 43-28. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Cedaredge put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Roaring Fork 40-37.

Cedaredge pushed their record up to 19-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Battle Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Battle Mountain took a serious blow against Cedaredge when the teams last played back in December of 2019, falling 63-25. Can Battle Mountain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
