Basketball Recap: Red Lake Comes Up Short

Red Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Blackduck Drakes, falling 72-17. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Drakes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-24 back in December of 2024.

Ambria Vasquez was Red Lake's leading scorer, having posted 13 points.

Red Lake's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Blackduck, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-10.

Red Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-27 defeat against Mahnomen/Waubun on the 14th. As for Blackduck, they have also already played their next game, a 57-53 victory against Nevis on the 14th.
