Baseball Recap: Bruce Comes Up Short

Bruce lost against Eupora back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Cane Necaise was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Bruce's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Eupora, they pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bruce will head out to face off against North Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eupora, they will head out on the road to square off against Nanih Waiya at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
