Volleyball Recap: Timpanogos Comes Up Short

Timpanogos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Orem Tigers. The Timberwolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 26-28, 25-15.

Cooper Pope paced Timpanogos' offense, picking up 17 kills. Pope got some help from Zaxen Downey and his 22 assists. Downey was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Orem can attribute much of their success to Will Brown, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Timpanogos now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Orem, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Timpanogos has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Mountain View on the 25th. As for Orem, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Skyline on the 21st.
