Volleyball Recap: Trinity Academy Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Trinity Academy won the last time they faced Nickerson and things went their way on Saturday too. The Knights came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Trinity Academy took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14.

Jordyn Whitfield paced Trinity Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Whitfield got some help from Grace Barrett and her 15 assists. Audrey Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Trinity Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Nickerson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Coincidentally, Trinity Academy and Nickerson will both be playing Collegiate the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
