Preview: West Covina Bulldogs vs. Paloma Valley Wildcats
The West Covina Bulldogs have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Paloma Valley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, West Covina was fully in charge, breezing past Chaffey 35-6 at home. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point West Covina had established a 28 point advantage.
Meanwhile, Paloma Valley humbled Lakeside with a 46-14 victory. Given Paloma Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Lakeside is ranked 791st), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Brady Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 178 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Damian Ramirez, who gained 70 total yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped West Covina to 8-2 and Paloma Valley to 7-3.
