Soccer Recap: Evans vs. Grovetown
After flying high against Brunswick last Friday, Evans came back down to earth. The Evans Knights wound up on the wrong side of a rough 6-2 walloping at the hands of the Grovetown Warriors on Tuesday. Evans has struggled against Grovetown recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Evans' loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Grovetown, the win got them back to even at 6-6-1.
Evans will head out on the road to face off against Greenbrier at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenbrier will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Evans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grovetown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Aquinas at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Aquinas is strutting in with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season.
