Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Ravenwood on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raptors by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Raptors this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-3 defeat on April 8th.

Centennial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Gant, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Ethan Vincent also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Centennial has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-16 record this season. As for Ravenwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 28-9.

As of now, neither Centennial nor the Raptors have any future games scheduled.
