Basketball Recap: Grant Community Wins Going Away Against Round Lake

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wauconda, Grant Community was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Round Lake Panthers with a sharp 49-28 victory. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Panthers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 51-47 defeat.

With the win, Grant Community broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-19. As for Round Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

When Grant Community and Round Lake next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Grant Community will try to stop Grayslake Central's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Round Lake will square off against Wauconda and their seven-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
