Volleyball Recap: Oakwood Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Oakwood lost against Chrisman back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Comets fell 2-0 to the Cardinals.

Oakwood was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Oakwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bella Martin had 20 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Hart, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Oakwood has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Chrisman, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

Oakwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Milford on the 30th. As for Chrisman, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Casey-Westfield on the 27th.
